Presently there are 2 billion people in the developing world who rely on polluting, carbon emitting fossil fuels for their energy needs. Over the past 8 years we’ve developed effective programs that eliminate the need to burn fossil fuels and biomass in rural communities that don’t have reliable access to electricity. We have done this by distributing thousands of solar home systems to households in rural villages, powered multiple rural schools and clinics with 100% solar and set up our solar micro fund to help under served rural homes and businesses purchase solar arrays.
To effectively mitigate the effects of climate change the developing world needs to rapidly embrace sustainable energy on a massive scale. Our programs are designed to do exactly that.
